Currently, we accept contributions from Indian citizens (including NRIs holding an Indian passport) in Indian Rupees (INR). As we are not yet registered under FCRA, we cannot accept contributions from foreign citizens, OCI/PIO cardholders, or international organisations. Cross-border giving will be enabled soon.

Yes, if you file under the old tax regime. Gifts to Mitra Mela qualify for deduction under Section 80G of the Income-tax Act 1961, which is now Section 133 of the Income-tax Act 2025. The new tax regime does not allow this deduction.
Your receipt reaches your email straight away. After the financial year ends, we file our annual donation statement, Form 113 (formerly Form 10BD), with the Income Tax Department by 31 May and then send you Form 114 (formerly Form 10BE). Form 114 is the certificate you use to claim the deduction, so please add your PAN when you give.
Yes, any time, with no fee and no questions. WhatsApp or email us and we will cancel it before the next debit. If you set it up with UPI AutoPay, you can also cancel the mandate yourself in your UPI app.
Write to us with your payment ID as soon as you notice. If a gift was made by mistake or charged twice, we refund it to the account it came from. Our refund policy explains how and how long it takes.
Every gift settles in the trust's one bank account and is recorded against the campaign you chose, and that campaign is where it is spent. If a campaign raises more than its goal, the extra goes to the closest similar need, and we say so in that campaign's updates.
Gifts to “where it is needed most” go to whichever programme is short that month. Our accounts are audited every year.
Yes. Tick “Give anonymously” on the form and your name won't appear on the donor wall or on campaign pages; you will show as “A friend”. We still put your name and PAN on your receipt and in our tax filing, because the law requires it, but we never show them in public.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card details and UPI PIN go straight to Razorpay and your bank; we never see or store them. We will never ask you to pay into a personal account.
